Hey Parents,
Across Clark County, there is a serious concern that many of our young children are not prepared to experience the real-world challenges and insecurities that arrive everyday. As members of the Las Vegas community, we’ve seen how the creativity of young people allows them to engage with the confidence and skills they need to succeed. That task is not easy.
The performing arts requires critical thinking, innovation, communication, collaboration, and confidence– skills that traditional schools and teachers often ignore. For students, the opportunity of an arts education can be life-changing and prepare them for success inside and outside the classroom. We wanted to nurture those skills: That’s why the Do & Be Arts Academy of Excellence (DBAE) was born.
Do & Be Arts Academy is a K-8 charter school intent on providing students with an arts education that allows them to critically think, communicate, collaborate, and be confident throughout their time with us and their community. This educational approach aims to provide the students with the necessary cognitive, emotional, and social skills needed so that students can thrive in their own community.
At Do & Be our mission doesn’t end with the students. We encourage families to show their love and appreciation for their communities through our performing arts programs. As our testament to the community, we involve friends and family to motivate students towards creative activities while highlighting collaboration to show our families how we can work with one another to improve and mobilize our Las Vegas community.

Did you know that DBAE was originally called Arts.Love.Learn?
In April, 2020 Arts.Love.Learn launched as a Youtube and Instagram Channel aimed to facilitate an arts education online. As support for the channel grew, Arts.Love.Learn developed a new mission: To provide arts education to elementary schools across the Las Vegas Valley!
September 2020, Arts.Love.Learn became the Do & Be Theatre Arts Company winning the LV TFA Shark Tank Award!
In just a few months, Do & Be Theatre Arts company transitioned to the Do & Be Arts Academy of Excellence Charter School. In August 2023 the Do and Be Arts academy received unanimous approval by the SPCSA. For August 2025, Do & Be Arts Academy is ready to open its doors for the first time to a rush of new and exciting faces ready to Do & Be anything!
Arts Education
In Las Vegas, Nevada only 4% of elementary and middle schools in Clark County offer theatre, dance, and media arts in their programs. It's our mission to make sure that the families in our Las Vegas community have the proper resources and access to education they need. Through an arts education, students will receive the proper training and development they need to express their creativity and excellence!
